Irvine Burns Club representatives participate in the Burns Scotland Plenary Group and Research sub-group, the North Ayrshire Museums Forum, the Ayrshire Association of Burns Clubs and the Robert Burns World Federation

Events - in normal times - include the Annual Celebration (January), Music@Wellwood concerts in our superb Music Room (usually four each winter), and other events advertised on our Facebook page (search for Irvine Burns Club)

Life membership costs £20 (UK residents) or £30 (overseas) - this puts you on our mailing list, and a membership certificate is sent. To apply, please download our membership application form. Payment can be made via our Paypal facility.

Your donations enable us to continue our long history and to maintain the Wellwood Burns Centre and Museum. Please donate by BACS to sort code 83-23-13 (Royal Bank of Scotland) a/c no 00612026 (Irvine Burns Club), using your name as a reference, and email us at irvineburnsclub@gmail.com to let us know you have done so. Taxpayers, please also download a Gift Aid form to allow us to reclaim tax!

Irvine Burns Club and Irvine Lasses Burns Club work closely together. In 2015, IBC presented ILBC with a Friendship Cup to mark their 40th anniversary. Later in 2015 the joint efforts of the two clubs in community projects featured in the Provost’s Awards, topping the Arts and Culture category and gaining the overall Provost’s Award.

The Founders of Irvine Burns Club

Irvine Burns Club was formed in Milne's Inn (now The Crown Inn), High Street, Irvine, Ayrshire on 2nd June 1826 by a group of twelve leading men of the town.
