The John Galt Way

Scottish author John Galt (1779-1839), in his first major novel The Ayrshire Legatees, described a coach journey from Irvine, where he was born, to Greenock, the town to which his family moved when he was ten - a journey he took often.

The John Galt Way follows that beautiful scenic route along the Firth of Clyde and highlights many places of interest along the route - browse here!
